In this stage you reach another milestone in your construction of your Falcon model when you finish off the upper frame. The two frame sections you add – TF-39 and TF-40 – secured in position with the help of a section of radial rib plus screws and connectors, fill in the gaps left over from the last stage when you completed the circle of the frame.

    Parts needed:
Hull frame section TF-39 supplied with Issue 65
Hull frame section TF-40 supplied with Issue 65
Radial rib inner section supplied with Issue 65
Three, 2-hole connectors supplied with Issue 65
    Four long brass-coloured screws
Gather together thirteen short black button head screws

    Tools and other items needed
If you do everything that is described in the Stage 65 Assembly section of the magazine you will need the following:
Screwdriver supplied with Issue 2 or similar

    Assembling the top frames
When you screw the rib connector to the rib attached to TF-36, make sure you support it so there is no danger of either of the two parts of the radial rib bending out of shape. Check that you have screwed all the frame section corners to the flanges of the radial rib section that you have added this time.

    Tidy up and store
Put the completed frame back on the jig for safe keeping. You will be needing it in Stage 66. Put the hull panel supplied with Issue 65 back in the parts pack and store it so you can find it easily.
