This stage is similar to the previous one, except that this time you add two frame sections, instead of three, and part of a radial rib to the upper frame of the Falcon. As last time you also add another section to the jig that supports the top of the model. When you are adding the frame sections you might again decide to work with the frame off the jig. If you do, be careful to support it when you handle it, especially when screwing the sections together using the connectors and the section of radial rib supplied this time.

    Parts needed:
Assembly jig section supplied with Issue 61
Hull frame section TF-31 supplied with Issue 61
Hull frame section TF-32 supplied with Issue 61
Radial rib outer section supplied with Issue 61
    Two 2-hole connectors
Gather together 11 short black button head screws

    Tools and other items needed
If you do everything that is described in the Stage 61 Assembly section of the magazine you will need the following:
Screwdriver supplied with Issue 2 or similar

    Assembling the top frames
You might want to label the new jig section with the parts pack number it came in (61), so if you take the jig apart, you can put it back together quickly; the jig sections fit together in ascending parts pack number order clockwise starting from 48. The correct order for the seven sections of the jig received up to Stage is 61 is 48, 50, 53, 54, 55, 60 and 61.

Adding the two frame sections TF-31 and TF-32 should not be challenging. As usual provide support for the frame when tightening screws and treat TF-30 (part of the existing assembly) very carefully as until you attach TF-31, TF-30 is only held-on by a single connector.

    Tidy up and store
If you removed the top frame assembly from the jig while adding the two new sections and the radial rib, return it now to keep it safe until you work on it again in the next stage (Stage 62). Store TP-19 – the hull plate section supplied with this stage but not used this time – back in the parts pack ready for use later.
