    Dear Millennium Falcon Builders,

Here are a few photos of the lower hull plating, taken directly from the original prop in the Lucasfilm archive. If you are custom-painting your model, you can use them for your reference to what the plating looks when attached to the framework and painted. Enjoy!

Hi Deag, in your FAQ you specifically said you would be producing a painting guide, including full instructions & detail of what paints to use & how.
I don’t see how a few pictures qualifies as full instructions.

For reference, here is a copy of your original post:

We will be providing a painting guide with issues 48 – 52 which will have all the details of which paints to use and how to apply them.
I’m afraid there are currently no decisions that have been made concerning scale models for the cockpit.

Hi kryten2b, As this is a part-work build, I am guessing DeAgostini will do the same with any guides it provides.

This site: http://www.starshipmodeler.com/starwars/smith_sw.htm , has around 30+ images of the YT-1300 that you may find helpfull.

    Regards,

    Habba 🙂

Please click on the following links to be taken to some of the reference photos that we had available on our website.
These have been color corrected to the best of my abilities. They have also been correctly orientated.

The point is, they said they provide a detailed painting guide with instructions – a set of photos is not a detailed set of instructions & certainly doesn’t tell us which paints to use – as they said they would.

I am only trying to ensure they provide what they promised

    Dear Participants to this thread,

There will be a complete painting guide provided with some of the later issues of the magazine, these photos are simply intended as a reference for any builders who are custom-painting their lower hulls in advance.

    Best Regards,
    DeAgostini Admin.

@ dtssyst01, many thanks for the great links to some terrifc photos. Very much appreciated.

As an aside, anyone notice the name “Michael Fulmer” written in pen on the underside of the cockpit in pic No2 above, and the faint word “Who?” below it? I can also be seen in pic No1. I wonder who he was. At least he can say his name was in the film. 😛

    Regards.

I believe quite a few of the model builders signed their work in hard to see places. That’s why a lot of detail shots have names on them.
